Patricia E. Mims was born on December 16, 1945 in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was raised in Gilmer, Texas and later moved to Mesquite, Texas where she remained for the duration of her life.
She worked and retired after thirty plus years from The State of Texas Human Resources Office for The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center. She also worked with her family friends Linda and Rudolph Spain at Rudy’s Chicken in Dallas, Texas.
For her hobbies and her passion in life, she loved to bowl. She bowled with a National Bowling Team based out of the DFW area. She loved sewing, crafting, and traveling all over the world. She contributed to the community by giving back with her kind heart, giving her time and a helping hand, especially during weddings and the holiday season.
She will truly be missed as a mother and for her giving heart.
She leaves her legacy to be cherished by: her son, Keithland D. Sanders (Amber Sanders); four granddaughters, Brandie Hill, Tracie Hill, Samantha Sanders, and Patricia Sanders (Kerrie Sanders); three grandsons, Justin Sanders, Delano Mulhuizen, and Isaiah Sanders; great grandchildren, Day’Jus Hill, Jerjaun Flakes, Jr., Joseph Thomas, Jr., Brianna Sanders, Benijamin Sanders, Skylar Davis, and Eli Sanders; siblings, Jodie Reynolds (Larry Reynolds), Denise Hale, Calvin Carrington, and the legacy of several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
