Reggie “Stick” Knight, was born on August 15, 1959 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Ilonia Knight and Leon Ford. A quiet, respectable man, who worked at various occupations during his lifetime, Reggie and his family moved to Texas as a young child where he accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. A movie (motion pictures) enthusiast, Reggie was a walking database of knowledge regarding past and present cinemas. He was the “go to” source of information regarding plots, casting and what to see at Dallas area theatres.
Reggie had a quiet, gentle spirit that put those around him at ease and enabled those around him to engage in positive conversations. He passed away June 20, 2020 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Bettye Hubert, Sylvia Knight; and brother, Keith Knight.
Reggie “Stick” Knight is survived by: sons, Reggie Knight, Jr. and Anthony Proyer; brothers, Earl Dexter, Donald Dexter (Delvina), Raney Knight (Mary Beth), Ernest Dexter, Carl Dexter (Valencia), Mark Dexter, Roderick Knight, and Chris Mims; sisters, Cheryl Dexter and Evelyn Knight, a host of other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
