Reginald Beasley Obituary

Reginald “Reggie” Charles Beasley was born on June 8, 1960, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of the late L. W. Beasley and Doris Beasley-Young. He was the youngest of six children.

 

Reggie united with the St. Phillips Baptist Church in Dallas at an early age. He later joined the Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an active and proud member of the Antioch’s Male Chorus and The Season of Service Ministry. Reggie graduated from Carter High School in Dallas, Texas in 1978. He later attended Houston Community College in Houston, Texas with a major in Accounting. Over his life, Reggie was employed at Exxon Mobile Corporation, Jim Walter Paper, Leggett & Platt; and retired from the City of Dallas in 2018. Reggie was a National Championship Pop Warner Coach for the Pleasant Grove Trojans.

 

On April 24, 1986, Reggie met the love of his life Shirley Brown. On April 22, 1987, they became one. To this union he gained four beautiful children: Patriece, Keshia, Shavon, and Ernest.

 

Reggie departed this earthly life on June 25, 2020. He was preceded in death by parents, L.W. Beasley and Doris Beasley Young, and brother Don Winslow Beasley.

 

Reggie leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Shirley “Muffin” Beasley; daughters, Patriece, Keshia (Jay), and Shavon (Kevin); sons, Andra (Christiana), Darrick (Rory), and Ernest; grandchildren, Darius Sr., Elyssia, Ethan, and Addyson; great grandson, Darius Jr; grand-dog Cash; brothers, Jerry Beasley and Samuel Freeman; sisters, Glenda Beasley Hughes of Houston, Texas, Vivian Goff (David), and Denise Thompson (Tommy); and a host of relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
