Richard Levell Clayton was born October 19, 1968, in Monroe, Louisiana to the proud parents of Eugene Clayton and Patricia Green Clayton. Richard was the oldest of three children.
Richard was baptized at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana. Richard moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1982, to live with his mother. He graduated from John J. Pershing High School in Detroit, Michigan on June 13, 1986. Richard joined military the Air Force, in 1990 completed the training and graduated 1994. Richard was honorably discharged from the Air Force on June 26, 1998. Richard completed his education with the following colleges: Liberal Arts & Science with a degree in Bachelor of Arts May 19, 1995, Saint Leo University, St. Leo, Florida and his master’s degree at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.
Richard worked for the city of Detroit, Michigan in the purchasing department for several years then moved to Dallas, Texas. Richard was employed at the Army/Air Force Exchange Services.
On December 8, 2023, Richard was called home to eternal rest. His father, Eugene Clayton precedes him in his homegoing.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother, Patricia Green Clayton; two sisters, Yulanda Clayton (Dallas, Texas) and Jermica Brown (Virginia Beach, Virginia), along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
