Mr. Rodney Earl Jones was born in Nevada, Texas on February 6, 1966 to the parents of James Otis Jones and Katherine Ford Jones who is also deceased. He graduated from L.H. Pinkston High School. He met and married Laveda on October 31, 2013.

Rodney Jones departed this earthly life on April 4, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Otis Jones, and Katherine Ford Jones; and brother James Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Laveda Jones; 1 daughter, Terrionta Levells; 3 sons, Rodney Denmark, Rodney Griffin, and Roderick Jones; 2 stepsons, Cordarion Washington, and Montavian Wright. He is also survived by 4 sisters, Annie Jones Holmes, Victoria Saunders, Barbara Johnson, and Betty Forester; 1 brother, Elbert Carl Jones; 3 grandsons, Jmariya, Jeremiyah, and Rodney; 2 granddaughters, Ce'Dazjah, and Kambri; 5 uncles, Nathaniel Thomas, Ronald Thomas, Willie Franklin, Irvin Lee Ford, and Stanley Ford; 4 aunts, Addie Hardarmon, Christina Royal, Teresa Buckingham, and Barbara McCoy; favorite cousin, Teresa Luke Brown Nwosu, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
