On February 28, 1990, in Glendale, California, the union of Ronald Allgood and Djerdre Bates-Allgood was Blessed with their youngest child, a son, Ronson Jamal Leon Allgood. From 1990 until 2003, Ronson was raised and educated in Los Angeles, California. The family relocated to Burlington, Iowa in 2003 where he attended Oak Street Middle School. In 2004, the family moved to Moline, Illinois, and in 2008 He graduated from Moline High School. In 2017, Ronson continued his studies at Chamberlain University College of Nursing where he was on target to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) this year. Upon completion of his clinicals, Ronson was headed to medical school to obtain his Doctorate Degree in Nuclear Medicine.
Ronson professed hope in Christ at an early age, and was Baptized when he was eleven years old by Pastor Terrence Phillips at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church of Los Angeles, California.
In 2014, Ronson met Miss Marjani Parker. Their relationship blossomed and was Blessed with one daughter, Nailah Lelani Allgood.
During his career, Ronson worked for Fresenius Medical Care North America as a Kidney Dialysis Technician (PCT) and for U.S. Renal Care where he was promoted from a Kidney Dialysis Technician to Bio Med Engineer. To Ronson, his passion to help others and his ability to calm people in the “middle of a storm” was a gift. Ronson provided compassionate, professional, and personal care to each of his patients and was greatly rewarded by their appreciation for all that he did. Ronson’s newest endeavor was as CEO of Herbs & Berries, LLC.; a line of all-natural body and hair care products.
Nothing was more important to Ronson than his family and his pride & joy was his daughter, Nailah. He was a phenomenal “Daddy”, as she always called him and there were no limitations for his expressions of love for his baby girl.
Ronson had a very special relationship with all of his nieces and nephews. He was “Uncle Ronnie “or “Uncle Turnup” to all of them. He always put so much energy into seeing after and playing with them.
Ronson had an infectious laugh and smile. He was outgoing, free spirited, a true friend, and no matter the occasion you knew it would be an “Allgood” time in his presence.
Ronnie enjoyed reading books and educating himself on black history, spiritual awareness, and holistic medicine. He favorite dish to cook was spaghetti with Italian sausage and his newfound love was making chicken in the air fryer. He loved karaoke and any opportunity to hang out with family and friends. He was an avid Laker fan, loved college football, writing and engineering songs and ol’ skol music.
Ronson leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved mother Djerdre Allgood of Lewisville, TX; daughter Nailah Allgood of Maywood, IL; brother Ronald (Terra) Allgood of Pittsburgh, PA; brother Brian Chance of Erie, PA; brother Charles Allgood of Akron, OH; sister Jasmine (Omar) Ward of Arlington, TX; sister Candice (Lawrence) Manson II of Des Moines, IA; Godmother, Jojuana McKnight of Los Angeles, CA; special Auntie Sherrie Phillips of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Father; Ronald Allgood, Maternal Grandparents; Mertin and Carrie Bates, Paternal Grandparents; Frank and Peggy Allgood, Godfather; Robert McKnight and Sister; Amber Thomas; and one of his best friends Greg Dixon of Hyde Park, IL.
