Rowena Hudson

With heavy hearts, we honor the life and legacy of Ms. Rowena Hudson, who was born on April 8, 1959, to Lela Hudson and J.C. Horton. Raised in Dallas, Texas, she received her education in Dallas Public Schools and proudly graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1977.

Rowena was a dedicated and hardworking woman, spending over 15 years serving her community through her work at Dallas Area Rapid Transit in Dallas. Her presence brought joy, and her kindness left a lasting impact on those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lela Hudson; father, J.C. Horton; brother, Luther Hudson; and son, Sidney Hudson Sr.

Rowena leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories to be cherished by her sisters, Dorris Peoples, Teresa Banks, Annie Hudson, and Phyllis Hudson; her brother, Charles Hudson; her devoted daughter, Porscha L Hudson; her grandchildren, Taylor Hudson and Sidney Hudson II; and her great-grandchildren, Sidney Hudson III and Samir Pippens.

Her love, strength, and beautiful spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with those who have gone before her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in eternal peace, Rowena. Your love remains with us always.
