Roy Taylor, IV

Roy Lee Taylor, IV was born to the union of Lynette Shamlin and Roy Lee Taylor, Jr. on March 2, 1998 in Dallas, Texas. Roy received his education in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas. Roy had a passion for Law Enforcement which led him to a career at the Ellis County Police Department. He traveled in his mother’s footsteps to have a great future in providing service to the community.

Roy was a warm and gentle soul who never met a stranger. The lives that he touched are truly blessed and his spirit will continue to soar through us all.

Roy Lee Taylor, IV departed this earthly life on February 7, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Lynette Shamlin; grandmothers, Darlene Shamlin and Thelma Taylor; uncles, Jerry Shamlin and Charles Shamlin; aunts, Marlene Shamlin, Rosie Lee Green, and Lenora Williams; special friend, Jailey Chitty, along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
