Ruth Ann Johnson was born on May 4, 1963, in Dallas, TX. Where she was a life-long resident. She was preceded in death by her mother Melba Ruth Johnson and brother Aundrea Wayne Johnson.
She acknowledged her faith in God at an early age and joined Lee St. Baptist Church in West Dallas. She graduated from Lincoln High School. She then worked as a caring Home Health Aide for many years.
A true leader, Ruth served on the Resident Council Board at Cottonwood Creek, where she was elected President. Her leadership attributes and dedication to the community will leave a lasting impact.
Ruth was a devoted bingo player at Cottonwood Creek, where she spent countless joyful hours with friends. Her friendly competition made her a cherished presence at every game. Ruth also had a passion for crocheting, reading and watching wrestling.
She leaves to celebrate her life, a loving daughter Cedricka Rochelle Johnson and her precious grandson whom she adored, Kendall Dorian Johnson. She leaves to cherish memories, her sister Jacquerena West and brother in love Donald West. Her precious nephews Kendrick (Fanasha) Don (Kina) and Cedric (Kierstien). Her Aunt Jackie Faye Davis. Her dear friends Mary Manning and Patricia Ransom. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Ruth Ann Johnson known as “Wee Wee” never missed anyone’s birthday or a holiday. Ruth was well loved by everyone she came in contact with. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all that knew her.
