Sandra Boggs Obituary

Sandra “Candy” Boggs was born on March 14, 1959, in Denton, Texas, to the late James Evans Sr. and Ira Evans. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, where she received her education in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School with pride.

After high school, Candy began working at Texas Instruments, where her life’s greatest blessing unfolded: meeting the love of her life, Ralph Boggs. Their union was sealed in marriage on March 15, 2007, and together they built a life marked by laughter, devotion, and unwavering companionship.

Candy’s life was centered on love: love for God, love for her family, and love for others. She accepted Christ at an early age and lived out her faith daily through acts of kindness and service.

She was the heartbeat of her family. Candy could always be found at the center of every gathering, making sure everyone was fed, comforted, and laughing. She loved to host, cook, and bring her family together. If someone was in need, Candy was the one to call, whether it was a hot meal, a listening ear, or simply her joyful presence. She was a devoted wife who cherished Ralph, a loving daughter who honored her parents, a dependable sister who held her siblings close, and a fun-loving aunt whose nieces and nephews could always count on her for support, encouragement, and laughter. To her family, Candy was not just a relative; she was a safe place, a counselor, and the glue that held everyone together.

Beyond family, she carried her light into every space she entered. With her contagious smile, joyous laugh, and warm spirit, she lifted others and left lasting impressions wherever she went. She delighted in bowling, singing, and dancing, but her greatest joy came from loving people deeply and faithfully.

She now joins her parents, James Evans Sr. and Ira Evans, her brother, Anthony Evans, and her sisters, Elaine Evans and Marilyn Dixon, in eternal rest.

She leaves to celebrate her beautiful life: her beloved husband, Ralph Boggs; her stepchildren, Gregory Boggs (Jennifer), Brian Boggs, and Larissa Nichols (Joe); her brothers, James Phillip Austin (Salome), James Melvin Evans Jr., and Melvin Evans (Rachel); her sisters, Gwendolyn James and Keisha Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever carry her legacy of love. Though her earthly journey has ended, Candy’s spirit continues to inspire us to live with joy, laugh often, serve faithfully, and love without limits.
