Satira Williams was born at University Hospital in Chicago, Illinois to the late Anderson Henderson and Essie Ball Henderson on April 18, 1948. She entered eternal rest on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Baylor Scott and White hospital in McKinney, Texas at the age of 72.
She accepted Christ as her savior at a very early age and was baptized by Union Grove Baptist Church in Rison, Arkansas. Satira loved watching action movies, listening to music and window shopping, both in magazines and in-person. Satira loved the Lord and studied her bible faithfully. Her motto was “You Only Live Once” and she lived her life on her own terms with Christ in her life and love in her heart.
Her spirit and our memories of her will live on within the hearts and minds of all that were blessed to meet and know her. Satira always had a loving and protective personality. She will be greatly missed, but her bright and shining light will always beam eternally from heaven. Satira worked in the medical field.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather James Ball, Sr.; grandmother, Emma Jean Ball and father, Anderson Henderson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her mother, Essie Henderson of Mystic, Connecticut; children, John Claiborne, Jr. of Norwich, Connecticut, Erick (LaTanya) Claiborne and Limuel Claiborne of Seagoville, Texas, LaShunda (Greg) Claiborne of Plano, Texas and Destin (Germaine) Duncan of McKinney, Texas.
