Shaneka LaVay Stiggers, affectionately known as, “Tinka Bell” was born May 4, 1977 to Sylvia and Allen White in Dallas, Texas.
Later in life, she relocated to California where she received her formal education graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, California. She furthered her education attending Long Beach City College, receiving a degree in Criminal Justice.
Shaneka accepted Christ into her life and attended Unity Baptist Church under the leadership of her grandfather, Reverend W.L. Stiggers, Christ Holy Sanctified Church, Bishop Eugene Brown, Praise Tabernacle Worship Center, Pastor Craig E. Brown, and was currently attending Holy Temple Christ Holy Sanctified Church in Dallas, Bishop Titus W. Smith.
She worked for Allstate Insurance Company as a Claims Adjuster. “Tinka Bell” was a vivid reader that love poetry, praise dancing, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was just a sweetheart that everyone loved.
On March 17, 2021, God saw fit to call our precious Shaneka home. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Reverend Wallace L. Stiggers; fraternal grandfather, Marvin White; and her grandmother, Iona “Almeta” White; uncles, Wallace L. Stiggers, Jr., Kevin White, Clarence White, and Terry Joe White; aunts, Diane West, Cindy Stiggers, and Cheryl Ann White.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Joshua Golden; mother, Sylvia Thomas; step father, William Thomas; brothers, Dewanio Stiggers, Allen White Jr., and William Thomas Jr.; grandmothers, Mary Ann Andrews Walker and Hester Stiggers; niece, Alaysia White; nephew, King White; uncles, Dr. Marvin White, Bradford Armstead, Curtis McFan, Ricky McFan, and Charlie Randell; aunts, Joyce White, Naomi White, Barbara White, and Marion White, Stephanie Stiggers, Cynthia Randle, and Ledella Armstead along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends that loved her dearly.
