Sharon Yvette Jennings-McCoy was born on August 20, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, to the loving parentage of Curtis and Billie Jean Jennings. On Sunday, January 4, 2026, Sharon peacefully transitioned from this life, surrounded by the love of her family—a gentle and fitting reflection of a life lived in connection with others.
Sharon was a woman of joy, warmth, and undeniable beauty. She took pride in her appearance and loved to shop, always presenting herself with grace and style. Her smile was infectious, her laughter comforting, and her presence brought light to every room she entered. A truly happy soul, Sharon had a gift for making others feel welcomed, seen, and at ease. She also loved the casino, delighting in the excitement and enjoyment it brought her.
She devoted many years of faithful service to Brinks, where she was known as a dedicated and dependable employee until her health began to decline. Her strong work ethic and commitment reflected the character she carried throughout her life.
In her final days, Sharon was lovingly surrounded by family and friends whose lives she had touched in meaningful and lasting ways—a testament to the love she gave so freely and the legacy she leaves behind.
Sharon was a proud graduate of L.G. Pinkston High School, Class of 1984. Her faith journey began at New Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where she was raised, and later continued as a devoted member of the Inspiring Body of Christ Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Curtis and Billie Jean Jennings; her sister, Debra Baker; and her brother, Kevin Jennings.
Sharon leaves to cherish her precious memories to her loving children, Shanika and Michael (Regina) Jennings; her treasured grandchildren, Javian Avery, Landon Jackson, Ayden Jennings, Deseray Garcia, Destiny Garcia, and Michaela Jennings; her aunts, Dorothy and Rosemary Jennings; and her uncles, Kenneth Anderson (Mary), Rozelle Roy, Wilson (Carolyn) Jennings, Stanley (Shirley) Jennings and Ray (Darling) Jennings. She also leaves a host of cousins and close relatives, dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Sharon Jennings will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her sense of style, her quiet strength, and the love she shared so generously with all who knew her. Though she has departed from this earthly life, her spirit, love, and legacy will live on forever.
