Sherman McIntyre, affectionately known as, “Hoss Fly” was born June 14, 1946 in Smithville, Texas to the parentage of Tommy Lee, Sr. and Freddie Mae McIntyre. He was the second to the oldest of seven children. He received his formal education from Smithville Public Schools, graduating from Mary A. Brown High School in 1965. He then furthered his education at Prairie View A& M University studying Culinary. In 1966, Sherman enlisted into the United States Army for two years.
Sherman married Marilyn on June 14, 1975 and the two shared parenting of two children.
He gave his life to Christ at a young age.
Sherman departed this earthly life on September 24, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Ann McIntyre; parents, Tommy Lee, Sr. and Freddie Mae McIntyre; brothers, Tommy Lee McIntyre Jr., Clarence McIntyre, and Allie Burnett McIntyre (Zavier); and sister, Bettye Jean Lewis.
He is survived by: children, Sherman Andre’ McIntyre, and Shermetra LaTrice McIntyre; brothers, Minister Robert James McIntyre, Vernon McIntyre, and Carl McIntyre; Goddaughter, Janavia Sharee Outley, a host of other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
