Sonia Jordan

Sonia Renee Lee-Jordan was born on Thursday, August 25, 1955 in Dallas, TX to Dollie Williams and the late Frank Lee and raised by the late Laverne Hall. She departed this life on December 20, 2021.

Sonia was a member of Transforming Life Christian Fellowship where she was over the Media Ministry, Women’s Prayer Ministry and Pastor Gordon’s ‘right hand’. Sonia held a BA in Sociology from the University of North Texas, a master’s in social work from the University of Texas Arlington and was pursing her PhD from Southern Methodist University at the time of her passing. Sonia loved cooking, baking, creating, reading, writing and learning. She loved her kids, grandkids, her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her fathers, Frank Lee and Laverne Hall and oldest brother, Paul Lee.

Those left to celebrate her life and cherish loving memories include her mother, Dollie Williams, three daughters Laneshia Jordan, Karla Humphries, Nicole McCray (Marcus), Courtney Scott (Brodie) and one son, Bryce Jordan; sisters Rita Lee and Lorna Williams (Milton) and brother Gregory Hall; stepbrothers Vincent Hall, Victor Hall and stepsister Gina Green-Hall; grandchildren Nicholas Hardeman, Daijah Ghoston, Alex McCray, Brianna Jordan, Jaxon McCray, Brooklyn Woodards, Baylee Jordan, Jonathan Woodards II and a new one on the way; nephews Desmond Lee, Ronald Chambers II and Desmond Lee Jr and niece Vanessa Chambers. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends.
