Stephen Lester was born September 20, 1977, to Harry and Yevonne Lester. He was the youngest of three boys. He gave his life to Christ at 12 years old in Yokota, Japan, where he worked diligently in the church until his father received orders to Illinois. After graduation, he attended Louisiana State University. Soon after, he started working in the emergency room, which prompted him to go to CNA school. He enjoyed taking care of people so much that he soon entered LPN school and graduated with honors. After being an LPN for 2 years, he became an RN, where he was valedictorian. Over the last several years, he enjoyed his position as a hospice nurse (RN, case manager), where he was truly loved and respected by his patients and all those that worked with him. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents (William and Jessie Sanders), his paternal grandparents (Rosie and Charles Edwards), and one brother, David Gonzaque.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Harry and Yevonne. His brother Michael, his fiancée Tiffany, and his nieces and nephews: Raven, Albre, Daisha, Destiny (Taylor), Cameron, Jaelin, and Bryce. His aunts, Sarah and Roxie, and a host of other relatives and friends, including his VNA family.
