Steve Young Jr, affectionally known as “Oil Can”, was born on September 13, 1949 in McNeil, Arkansas to the parentage of Steve Young Sr. and Rosie Lee Young, who both preceded him in death. He professed Christ at an early age in Magnolia, Arkansas.
He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Sunny South Dallas. There he was part of the track team and played basketball.
Steve met and later married Donna Young until her demise on February 6, 2020. He was a loving husband, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
He retired from Sea Blue where he was a welder. He was die hard mechanic all his life.
Steve was called home to Glory the morning of Tuesday, September 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Young; father, Steve Young Sr.; mother, Rosie Lee Young; sister, Judy Young; and his granddaughter, LaToya Young.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Dorothy Nell Young, Sharon Rena Webb (Dameon), and Shegata Clemmons (Carl); one son, Steve Young, III; two sisters, Dorothy Rayford (Manual) and Phyllis Daniels; three brothers, James Young (Donna), Kenneth Young (Delois), and Alvin Thomas (Vwendolyn), ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren (soon to be four), and a host of other relatives and friends.
