Sydney Molina Obituary
Mrs. Sydney Lee Molina was born October 20, 1953, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Jesse and Margaret Webster. She was raised in the Houston, Texas area and attended Houston Independent School District. She graduated from Milby High School in 1973.
She married Camilo Molina on December 7, 1976; this year, 2026, marks 50 years of holy matrimony. This union was blessed with two sons, Anthony and Jesse Molina.
In 1978, they moved to the Dallas area and ultimately rooted their family in Duncanville, Texas in 1985 and joined First Baptist Church of Duncanville where she served and made lifelong friends. Sydney was a bus driver for Duncanville ISD and a very active parent and PTA member throughout Anthony and Jesse’s school years. She was a strong advocate for Jesse in gaining knowledge and wisdom regarding Downs’ Syndrome and decisions to benefit him and their family.
After her stepdaughter, Michelle Molina, moved in with them in 1989, not too long after Sydney became the grandmother of grandmother’s. She served for the PTA for her three grandchildren as well and also became the biggest cheerleader called “GRANDMA” to Duncanville’s Pantherettes (basketball) for Monique’s class of 2008 and also most recently for her great-granddaughter Isis’ class of 2029. In 2022, her and the family became members at South Gate Fellowship in Duncanville, Texas. She received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit in 2023 and served faithfully as a prayer partner on Sundays and a prayer warrior at prayer hour on Saturdays.
As a result of her vibrant spirit, joyful personality, and her unceasing prayers, she touched many souls. She was lovingly remembered as “GRANDMA” by MANY. She left a legacy of unconditional AGAPE love to all who encountered her.
She quietly went to be with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven at home on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Margaret Webster, her sister Ann W. Butaud, and brother James H. Schmidt.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Camilo Molina (Duncanville) and children by marriage and bond: Anthony (Morgan) Molina of Kilgore, Texas; Jesse Molina; Michelle Molina-Cantu (Juan) of Mesquite, Texas; Grandchildren: Monique Sanford (Kenneth) of Dallas, Texas, Anissa Perales (Arlington, Texas), Naomi Perales (Grand Prairie, Texas), Marc Anthony Molina (Linzy) of Duncanville, Texas, and Jessi Mabel Molina (Kilgore, Texas); Great-Grandchildren: Isis Sanford, Kenneth (Tripp) Sanford, III, and Amiyah Sanford (Dallas, Texas); Brother: Larry E.
