Taniqua Jenkins

February 17, 1990 ~ March 28, 2022 (age 32)

“Ain't no need in worrying what the night is gonna bring,
it'll be all over in the morning."

The sunlight rose in the life of Taniqua Aliece Jenkins, on the 17th day of February in the year of 1990 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Terry and Tunya Jenkins. Taniqua was affectionately known as “NeNe” by her family and friends.

Taniqua started her educational endeavors in the Dallas Independent School District, attending San Jacinto Elementary School, John B. Hood Junior High School, and was a Class of 2008 graduate of Lincoln High School. She later furthered her education and received an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Remington College.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at her family’s home church, Grand Central Missionary Baptist Church in Sunny South Dallas under the leadership of Reverend James T. Hill and later Pastor David C. Ward. There she was part of youth choir and mime ministry. Years later, she relocated her membership to Mt. Rose Church under the leadership of Bishop Jeffery D. Thomas, Sr. She loved her church and hearing her pastor preach and sing her favorite song, “How Much Do I Owe”.

Taniqua was currently employed with Allied Universal, as a supervisor.

She was an avid reader, who loved shopping, and watching movies, but her greatest joy was spending time and loving on her two daughters, Lauren, and Kennedy.

The sun set in the life of Taniqua on the 28th day of March in the year of 2022 in Balch Springs, Texas, many lives will never be the same. Those who welcomed her with open arms in Heaven are her maternal grandparents, R.T. & Brenda Sanders, and her cousin, Larry Sanders.

Those who are left to cherish her loving memories are her adoring two daughters: Lauren Graves and Kennedy Parker; Godson, Roland Jernigan, Jr.; mother: Tunya Jenkins “Pickles”; father: Terry Jenkins; brother, Terrian “Tron” Jenkins (Jazmine); twin sister, Tashara Jenkins (Allen); niece: Roxie Lee; nephews: Jordan Jenkins, Robert Jenkins and Rallen Lee; paternal grandmother: Margaret Robertson; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
