A beautiful creative diva, Tanisha O'Real Berry, was born to the late Elesta Joyce Smith Berry and Maxie Berry in Monroe Louisiana. Tanisha completed her Earthly Journey on October 18, 2021. Her Creator welcomed to her Heavenly home and whispered unto her, “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful overall few things, I will make you ruler over many things: Enter into the joy of the Lord.” -Matthew 25:23
Tanisha attended Minnie Ruffin Elementary, Parkview Elementary and Thomas Jefferson Junior High School all in Monroe, LA. She graduated from Wossman High School in 1993. Tanisha attended Grambling State University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Tanisha later completed the Pharmacy Technician program at Unitech Training Academy. Tanisha was fun loving and enjoyed making people laugh. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to challenge anyone with her never-ending spirit for the Cowboys.
Tanisha loved God and accepted Christ at an early age. Until her death, Tanisha continued to worship God and helped others. Tanisha was a member of Zion Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Monroe, LA., under the leadership Reverend Andrew Jackson, Jr. She also enjoyed streaming worship services with the New Saint James Missionary Baptist Church, Monroe, LA; under the leadership of Pastor Vance Price.
Tanisha worked for the Monroe City School Board accounting department. She also worked at JP Morgan Chase mortgage department and Mel's pharmacy. She later moved to Cedar Hills, TX with her family and was currently employed by Conifer Medical Solutions.
Tanisha was preceded in death by her mother, Elesta Joyce Smith Berry, brother, Mack Jackson, and sister Miekyia Johnson; maternal grandmother, Annie Mae Smith; maternal grandfather, JV Smith; paternal grandmother, Lena Mae Mathis and niece, Patrice Jackson Chapman.
Tanisha’s precious memories and legacy will live on through her children, Marquis Berry (Sherill Bryant) and Jaiden Glover all of Cedar Hill, Texas; grandchildren Jaliyah Glover, Legend Berry, and Luna Bryant; father, Maxie Berry and step-mother Diana Berry, Monroe, LA; sisters, Teisha Gaines, Houston Texas, Tameka Berry, Cedar Hill, Texas, Charlene Berry Bibins(Derik), San Antonio, TX, Lisa Berry Johnson(Delano), San Antonio, TX; brother, Travis Berry, Monroe, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
