It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved “Big Guy”, Taranza, who passed away, suddenly on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the age of 34.
Taranza R. Curry, known affectionately as Taz or Ram, was born on March 16, 1990, in Memphis, TN. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 2013, and made it his home-away-from-home. He leaves to cherish his memory his Mother, Ms. Sharolyn Moore, his Daughter, Miss. Kelsey Curry, his older Brother, Mr. Tondwin(Linnett) “T.C.” Curry, Jr., his oldest Sister, Ms. LaToya Moore, his two nieces, Miss. Payson and Taigen Curry, his Uncle, Mr. Larry Clark, his Fianceé, Ms. April Lassere, and a host of numerous family members, friends, and co-workers. Taranza was preceded in death by his loving Grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Clark, his Father, Mr. Tondwin Curry, Sr, his Uncle, Mr. Curtis Clark, his Aunt, Mrs. Carrie Clark and his Grandfather, Mr. John Moore.
Everyone who was anyone, knew Taranza loved to laugh, dance, and take care of others. He had a powerful presence, but was often referred to as a “Gentle Giant”. His smile would light up a room, and his heart was always in the right place. Taranza’s most recent place of employment was Roadrunner Charters. He enjoyed working and being on the road, always looking forward to the next Charter. As much as he loved to work, he also loved to unwind. In his free time, he would roller skate, hang out with friends and family, ride or fix his motorcycle or simply just relax. He was also a self-labeled foodie. Always wanting to try new food and often traveling to various destinations. On his most recent trip, he ventured to London and experienced their culture, food and hospitality and loved it!
Taz also grew an obsession for over-sized vehicles! Whether it was an 18 Wheeler, a Charter Bus, a plane, or a cruise ship, Transportation was his passion! If he ever wandered off somewhere, rest assured he was nearby admiring some sort of Commercial Motor Vehicle.
It is at this time, we can all honestly say that we will miss our “Big Baby”. We continue to ask for nothing other than respect, privacy and peace during the grieving process. A Celebration of Life and Memorial service will take place at a later date. This event will be by invitation only, and further details will be provided for those who will be in attendance. The family would like to send a special heartfelt thanks to the Fort Worth F.D, Medical City(NRH), Roadrunner Charters and The Black Rhinos MC for their generous assistance during this difficult time. Taranza will always be etched in our minds, and forever in our hearts.
