Vasstine Woods, Sr.

Vasstine Bizzell Lynn Woods, Sr. was born August 9, 1955 to Alice Marie Dean and Julius Lafayette Woods in Dallas, Texas.

He was an alumnus of South Oak Cliff High School. Vasstine joined the United States Army in 1974.

Among his many hobbies, he enjoyed movies, spending time with his grandchildren, and building LEGOS.

Vasstine Woods entered into eternal life on June 3, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Woods; mother, Alice Marie Sharper, and son, Vernon Woods.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Verna Jean Woods; children, Christopher Woods, Vasstine (Sharhonda) Woods, and Cornelius Woods; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister, Tamara Woods-Johnson, and brother, James Sharper, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
