Willie H. Jackson Jr., or Will as he was known, was born on August 5, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Willie and Deborah Jackson. He graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the US Army, where he was honorably discharged in 1965. Shortly after that, Will went to a gospel meeting and met the love of his life, Petricious Louise Bradley. They were married on April 30, 1966. To this union were added three children, Petrick Paul, Mark Ja’Mal, and Kelley De’Borah. He was a long-time employee of the transportation industry and eventually retired from Consolidated Freightways. While supporting his family, Will continued his education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from North Texas State University.
Will was a faithful member of Marsalis Avenue Church of Christ. He was a giving man who loved politics, fishing, and sports. He was also known for baking a mean tea cake. Will passed away on June 16, 2020.
He was proceeded in death by his brother Minor Jackson. He will be loved and missed by his surviving wife, children, grandson, Kelson Onick and siblings Jerre Wells, Jeanne Jackson, Harold Jackson, Cynthia Burns, Wayne Jackson and a host of family and friends.
