Winifred Wade Obituary

Winifred Wade was born on June 16, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, where he was also raised. He peacefully departed this life on April 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and unwavering love for his family. Winifred was a proud graduate of James Madison High School, after which he honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Supply Specialist. He entered active duty on August 18, 1967, and was honorably discharged on April 29, 1971. His military service reflected his strong sense of duty, discipline, and commitment to serving others.

 

On December 29, 1980, Winifred married the love of his life, Carolyn Wade. Together, they built a life centered on family, resilience, and cherished memories. Carolyn preceded him in death.

 

Winifred was preceded in death by his parents, Rosella Hayes Banks and Samuel Wade; his beloved wife, Carolyn Wade; his children, Clifford D. Wade, Darrayl Williams, Terrance L. Wade, and Thomas A. Wade; and his siblings, Willie Calvin Banks, Carolyn Qwen Banks, Clara Wade, Claudia Miller, Willie James Banks, Howard Curtis Banks, and John Wade.

 

Winifred leaves to cherish his memory his children: Anthony J. Williams, Kachina M. Wade, Kyesha W. Eldridge, Marcus K. Wade, Samuel Wade, Sedric Wade, Timothy J. Wade, and Winifred Wade Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Belinda Smith, Louis Hayes, and Roberta Howard, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and loved ones.

 

He shared a deeply meaningful and special bond with his niece, Mary Radford, her husband, Darrell Radford, and their children, Darrell Radford Jr. and Savana Radford. Winifred loved and raised them as his own, serving as a father figure and grandfather whose love, guidance, and presence will forever be cherished.

 

In his later years, Winifred was lovingly cared for by his son, Timothy James Wade, and his wife, Aja Wade, whose devotion, compassion, and unwavering support ensured he was surrounded by dignity and love. Winifred Wade will be remembered for his strength, steadfast presence, deep love for his family, and easy going nature. His life touched many, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
