Mrs. Carlene Elice Washington was born on December 12, 1955, to the parentage of Ethel Elice Crawford and L.K. Wrightsil.
Carlene accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member at the Church of Christ on Pemberton Hill Road formerly known as Myrtle Street.
She graduated from Bryan Adams Highs School.
On April 3, 1976, Carlene was joined in holy matrimony to James E. Washington and to this union two children were born; LaToya C. Washington and PeLaura M. Washington.
Carlene was a woman of many talents. She was a supervisor at SMU, Voting Clerk and Voting Judge for the Democratic Party. She was on the Ladies Auxiliary, The Clergy Spotlight known as The Minister’s Wives group and many other organizations.
Carlene departed this life on March 10, 2019. She was preceded in death by her Mother Ethel E. Crawford, Father L.K. Wrightsil, Two brothers Adrian A. Crawford and Carl L. Wrightsil, Grandmother Ethel L. Davis. Three Aunts, Bobbie J. Davis, Jimmie L. Giddens, and Jewel E. Hamilton, one Uncle L.J. Matthews.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, Husband, Come Here Man (James E. Washington), Daughters LaToys C. Washington and PeLaura M. Washington; Two grandchildren Semaj Emon Washington-Fry and Semon Jey Washington-Fry. Honorary granddaughter, Anajah Necole Bennett. Nephew Derrick Wayned Thomas and Niece Carlas Michelle Thomas. Great niece and nephews, Derriona, Zion, Zireonn, Zayrionn, and Zaymon. God Children, David R. Burnley, Jr., Terry L. Ross, and Jane’t T. McCallister. Two Aunts, Thelma Taylor, and Robinson. Best Friend, Wanda Price, relatives and a host of friends.
