Buyan White

Buyan White was born on June 21, 1975 in Dallas, Texas. He was the first born and only son of Joyce White. He received his formal education from the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from South Oak Cliff High School in 1994. He then furthered his education and attended Tri State Trucking School where he obtained his commercial Class A Truck driver’s license. Buyan had over twenty years of truck driving experience.

Buyan was a loving father of four beautiful children. He was also a dedicated son, brother, uncle, and cousin. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends after a hard days of work.

He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan.

Buyan departed this earthly life on September 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Griggs; grandfather, Marvin White, Sr.; grandmother, Iona “Almeta” White; uncles, Clarence White, Sr., Kevin White, Allen Jay White, and Terry Jo White; aunts, Cheryl Ann and Marvin Jo White; and cousin, Jacquline Armstead.

He leaves to cherish his memories: children, Curtis White, Chasity Smith, Chelsea Smith, and Marcedes; one granddaughter, London Smith; Mother, Joyce White; niece, Savannah Smith; fiancé, Shantel Smith; sister, LaTasha “Cherylena” White; uncles, Dr. Marvin White and Bradford Armstead; aunts, Lazella Armstead, Barbara White, and Naomi White, along with a host of cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
