Carolyn Wade

Carolyn Jean Wade  was born on January 5, 1958 to the parentage of the late Willie & Henrietta Neal. As a young child Carolyn along with her parents lived in Forney, Texas, and she later move to Dallas, Texas.

She was married to Winifred Wade on December 29, 1980. She was a dedicated wife and  mother of two wonderful brothers Thomas and Timothy Wade.

Carolyn took pride in working many years as maintenance technician at Wimberly Park Apartments where she earned multiples awards. Carolyn moved on to follow her passion for working with children when she became a food service worker at Mesquite ISD. While working at Mesquite Cookie developed a life long friendship with Mrs. Linda White. She was a dedicated employee who worked until her illness prevented her from continuing.

She was a loving and compassionate person who exemplified the true meaning of giving you the shirt off her back. Cookie always gave encouraging words and shared her faith with everyone she came in contact with. She never met a stranger and always provided a warm tender smile and a genuine hug to whoever needed it. Carolyn also volunteered at the church Pillow Ministry and also in the child nursey for many years.   

Carolyn is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Wade; parents, William Neal and Henrietta Jackson; grandmother, Mattie Stevens; her siblings, Willie Neal Jr., Sonnyboy Neal, Jennie Mae Neal, Abram Neal, Lucy Mae Neal, Joe Ann Neal and Paul Neal.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Winfred Wade; son, Timothy Wade (Aja); sisters, Queen Mitchell, Catheryn Jones, Lily-Ann Neal, Emma J. Young and Eula Mae Neal; three brothers, Charles Neal, Calvin Neal, and Raymond L. Alexander all of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Kordell Jones; great grandson, Zakai Jones; nieces, Mary Radford, (Darrell), Carolyn Griffin, and Henrietta Neal; nephews, Kenneth Neal, Sammy Neal, John Neal, and Mark Neal;  great nieces and nephews, Darrell Radford Jr., Savana Radford, Bryon Neal, Chastity Griffin, Tryell Neal, Christian Neal, Deniceyah Neal–Givens, Michael Perkins,  Aliyanna Neal, Autumn Neal, Miracle Neal, and Malachi Neal; one great-great niece, Itlay Spain, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
