Corene Jackson

Corene Brooks Jackson was born on April 6, 1925 in Terrell, Texas to the parentage of Eli and Laraine Callaway. She was the mother of nine children.

Corene was a member of Central Pointe Church of Christ. She loved hearing the preached word and the awesome gospel singing. She enjoyed attending the Central Pointe senior actitives and luncheons.

Corene had a passion for sewing, needle point, canning and gardening. Her favorite flowers were Roses and Hibiscus. Each year, she looked forward to Spring so that she could plant her flower garden. She was excited when her son, Billy came to pick her up to head to the garden store. She loved her family and her children spoiled her royally.

Corene transition peacefully on March 16, 2020 in Grand Prairie, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, two sisters, one brother, son, Evitt Jr. and daughter, Cloteal Traylor. Those left to cherish her precious memories; (her children) Betty Wilson, Bobbie Echols (Israel), Willie Jackson (Wanda), Billy Jackson, Ernest Jackson, Brenda Jackson Brown (Robert) and Virgie Jackson. She will be missed by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, her church family, other relatives and friends.
