David was born February 21, 1949, in Fisher, Louisiana. He was the third child born to David Kelley and Izola Blinks Kelley. He graduated from Sabine High School in 1968 and attended Grambling State University. David later received an associate degree in Horticulture from Lee College. He was employed by Dikita and retired from Fieldworks Marketing Research, Inc. Dallas.
David was baptized at an early age at the St. Peter Baptist Church in Fisher, Louisiana. In 2006, he united with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, was a member on the Finance Committee, and was active in the Men’s Ministry.
David departed this earthly life on October 20, 2021 and was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to forever cherish his memories: his partner in love, Brenda; son, Anthony (Yvonne); daughters, Tracey, and Cassandra; eight (8) grandchildren, four (4) great grandchildren, all reside in the state of Pennsylvania; two (2) sisters, Lois (Ray English) of Los Angeles, California, and Vernetta of Dallas; three (3) brothers, Larry (Gloria) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Gerald (Deborah) of Los Angeles, California, and Bruce (Wanda) of Cedar Hill, Texas; 20 nephews and 13 nieces, The Johnson, Everett, and Evans families, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
