Effie Hubbard

Effie Lee Hubbard was born on March 29, 1934 to the parentage of Louis Crow and Entha Lee Robertson in Gilmer, Texas. She attended Bruce Schools and later moved to Dallas, Texas where she was employed as a domestic worker for the Vandershaw’s for several years. Effie was baptized at a young age and attended Cypress Street Church of Christ in Gilmer, Texas. She later became a member of Dallas West Church of Christ until her demise.

She was married to the late James Hubbard. To this union, six sons where born.

Effie Hubbard departed this earthly life on July 23, 2019. She was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Hubbard and James Ray Hubbard; father, Louis Crow; mother, Entha Lee Robertson; her granddaughter, Lawanda Jones; and sister, Erma Jean Crow. She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her homegoing: four sons, Don Anthony Hubbard (Jean), Thomas Hubbard (Cecelia), James Weldon, Jr. and Michael Eugene Hubbard; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; great-great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
