Emma Louise Johnson Peterson, the daughter of the late J.J. and Althera Johnson was born April 23, 1945 and departed this earthly life on May 28, 2021.
She was joined in marriage on December 31, 1977 to the late William Miller Peterson.
Emma was baptized into Christ at Fourth Avenue Church of Christ in 1976 under Brother Willie John Tucker, where she was in faithful service until death.
She loved reading books, the Bible, sewing, cooking, shopping at thrift stores, and Kroger.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Althera Grandberry; two granddaughters, Latoya Dixon and Shakayla Grandberry; sister, Sylvia Johnson; five great granddaughters, four great grandsons, one great-great grandson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and church family that loved her dearly.
