Glenda Beal Swanson, 67, died on August 21, 2019. She was born March 3, 1952 to Arthur Lee Green and Earnestine Beal. She lived an exuberant, abundant life and was loved by anyone who crossed her path. She took pride in her family, friends, and loved ones.
Glenda received her education from the Dallas Public Schools, graduating from James Madison High School where she met her high school sweetheart and first husband, the late Mr. James E. Revels. Together they had one son, James Marshall Revels.
Glenda accepted Christ at an early age at Homeland Baptist Church. She enjoyed her fellowship with God.
She retired from C.C. Young Senior Living after working there for over twenty years. There she met her second husband, the late Mr. Jimmy Swanson. To this union, she gained two step daughters and one step son who she loved as her own.
Glenda is survived by and watching over her son, James Marshall Revels; four brothers, Earnest Lee Smith, Raylynn Robinson, Arthur Lee Green, Jr. and Nicholas Green; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that loved her dearly. Glenda had a special relationship with her sister-in-law, Millie Robinson and Aunt Patsy, who was more like a sister to her.
