James “Jim” Emerson Sprinkle passed away on April 9, 2024, son of the late Denny and Betty Sprinkle was born January 20, 1956, in Mobile, Alabama. He graduated from Clovis High School in Clovis, New Mexico. At an early age he fell in love with fishing and made wonderful memories with family and friends on the water.
Jim is survived by his daughter Ashley Sprinkle, granddaughter Sierra Sprinkle; Son Christopher O’Neill, wife Christa O’Neill, and grandchildren Casey O’Neill and Cole O’Neill; Siblings Penny Tuszynski, Denny Sprinkle, wife Vala Sprinkle, Melinda Sprinkle Kirksey, and Tammy Myers, husband Brent Myers. As well as countless family members in Alabama, New Mexico and Texas.
Jim is remembered as a man that never met a stranger and would help anyone that needed it. Since retiring from many years in sales, he could be found fishing at Joe Poole Lake, camping at Lake Whitney, vacationing at the beach in Port Aransas, cheering on his Bama football team (ROLL TIDE) and making massive deer burgers for family cookouts with his children and grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 13, 2024, at Sacred Funeral Home in Cedar Hill, TX. Nephew Marcus Kirksey will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 1395 HWY 67, Cedar Hill, TX 75104.
