John Dixon, Jr

John Dixon, Jr. was born on August 7, 1946 in Alexandria, Louisiana to the parentage of John Dixon, Sr. and Annie Brown Dixon.  John was the only son with four sisters.  He was educated in Alexandria.  After high school, he served in the military in the United States Army for one year and then transitioned in the United States Marines Corps where he served for 19 years and retired.  He then went on to continue his civil service at the United States Postal Service for 25 years where he worked until retirement after 25 years in 2017.

On May 2, 1970, John married the love of his life, Miss Mable Bize.  To this union were two children, Ronda and John III.  They were also blessed with four grandsons and two great-grandsons.
