Monica Lynn Williams was born in Palestine, Texas on October 10, 1973 to Frances Skinner and Roy Cain. She attended public schools in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Business Magnet High School. Following graduation, she continued her education at El Centro College, Cedar Valley College and Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.
Monica was previously employed by Bank One, Hunt Oil Company, Dr. Jimmy K. Lu M.D. & Associates and at the time of her death, Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas.
Monica accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early under the leadership of the late Pastor C.H. Gerald and later united with Concord Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. E.K. Bailey. She previously served in the Nursery Ministry.
Monica was preceded in death by her grandfather, Herman Williams, Sr. and aunt, Deborah Keys.
She is survived by her son, Joshua Dennis; daughter, Jazzlynn Garrett; granddaughter, Joslyn Adkins-Dennis; mother, Frances Skinner; father, Donald Joe Skinner; grandmother, Merlene Williams; Goddaughter, Storri Simmons; sister, Yumesha (Pastor Kennie) Mosley, Timothy Skinner and Neva Skinner Trice; aunt, Linda Wickare; uncles, Herman (Pearley) Williams and Gary (Joann) Williams; nieces, KiAndria & Kierson Mosley; great niece, Kynnedi Black; great nephew, Kason Black, and a host of relatives, friends and her Baylor Hospital Family.
Monica Lynn had the gift of an infectious smile and brought light and love to everyone she came in contact with. She will truly be missed.
