Patty Watson entered this world on January 20, 1958 and transitioned on April 9, 2021. She obtained her schooling from Lincoln High School. Afterwards, she worked in the cafeteria at a rehabilitation center for many years. She then worked in the cafeteria at TXU and remained there until it shut down. Her final job before her sickness overcame her was being a caregiver for children and elderly people.
She met the love of her life, Bennie Smith, and shared a relationship with him for nearly 20 years before he preceded her in death March of 2002. She also had a very close bond with her best friend, Deidra Wady (Dee Dee) who preceded her in death as well.
In 2002, Patty began her Christian walk at New Leaf Missionary Baptist Church of Pastor Robert O. Moffet.
Patty thoroughly enjoyed cooking for her family at all family functions. She also really enjoyed spending quality time with her loved ones, and it brought her much warmth and joy. She often made it known that her son was her biggest accomplishment and that he was truly her pride and joy.
Patty is now greeted in the ancestor’s realm by her parents, Kathleen Watson and Charles Watson as well as her brothers, Billy Wayne Watson, and Willie Watson. She was the youngest girl of eight siblings, survived by Charleen Watson, Charles (Teresa) Watson, Paulette (Brian) Cox, Carol (Terry) Watson, Kenny (Vanessa) Watson and a loving Aunt, Mrs. Dorthy Watson. She also leaves behind her loving and devoted son, Lavar (Curtissa) Watson, her grandson Keyng Watson, and her bonus granddaughter, Latissia Porter, along with a host of other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
