Ramsey Mosley Obituary

Ramsey “John” Mosley passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Veterans Hospital in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 74. He was born on February 22, 1950, in Louisiana to Theresa Ramsey Mosley & Aaron Burke Mosley Sr.

Ramsey was preceded in death by his father, Aaron, his mother Theresa, his three brothers: Alcide, Aaron, and Michael Mosley. Ramsey is survived by his wife Cassandra Lee-Mosley, four sisters: Patricia Jones, Alcidia Johnikin, Zuolga Watts, Joella Abdul, children: Shantell Mosley, Latasha Murphy, Lucille Harris, Corey Brown, LeAndra Lee, and a host of nieces/nephews, and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed but the love he shared will continue to live on in our memories forever and as he often said, "there’s a rainbow to every storm".

Ramsey was a rambunctious child. His curiosity about the world and his zest for life led him on many adventures, both in his military service and in his personal life. Whether exploring new places or learning new things, he approached each experience with enthusiasm and an open mind.

Ramsey proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After his service in the military Ramsey was employed with the Louisiana Housing Authority, Department of Defense, and Aramark just to name a few.

Later in retirement he spent time being a loving husband, father and grandfather. To know Ramsey is to know that he loved life and loved to dance.  He was a God-fearing man and was thankful for life every day. Ramsey “John” never hesitated to help a loved one or a stranger in need.
